What our Leaders are saying...
Congressman Elliot Engel at Riverspace. Photo by Myles Aronowitz/ Lush Photography

Our elected and community leaders are excited about the possibility of Riverspace. Read what Congressman Engel is saying…

"Over the past three years the founders of Riverspace have done an outstanding job in the heart of Nyack, the gateway to the Hudson Valley. The program has brought a vibrancy of performing and visual arts, at an affordable cost and by a dedicated community of volunteers, to Rockland. Riverspace has become a second home to non-profit endeavors from across the County. And with input from the public, the plan for development of the Riverspace property has been designed to address the master plan of the Village of Nyack."

On Sunday we traveled back in time to the Rockland County of years ago as Riverspace and Elmwood Playhouse presented the staged reading of High Tor! Complete with period costumes and Hudson River scenery, the staged reading at Riverspace was a unique piece of this year’s Hudson River Quadracentennial celebrations.

Kudos to the amazing cast: Bobby Gonzalez, Rick Apicella, Jacquelina DeMarco, Wayne Duvall, Jim Coakley, Jean Marie Garver, Peter Fruchtman, Walker Jones, Nico Evers-Swindell, Robert Drake, Michael Pemberton, and Paul Russo. We would be remiss if we did not acknowledge Darrell Larson and Stella Blasenheim for directing and producing the performance.

Riverspace Realtors Meeting
About a dozen Nyack based realtors came together last week to talk about the future of Riverspace, Nyack, and the development of the region. The next meeting of the Realtors for Riverspace group will be on June 18th at 9am. If you are interested please RSVP to shausner@riverspace.org.
Lower Hudson Valley Youth Chorus comes to Riverspace
Lower Hudson Valley Youth Chorus comes to Riverspace
On Thursday, June 18, at 7:30 PM the Lower Hudson Valley Youth Chorus will present their Spring Concert. The Chorus, founded in 2007 by Jared Rosenblum, provides children a unique opportunity to sing with a group of students that range in age and ability. The chorus provides an exceptional opportunity for young singers to explore a challenging, diverse repertoire for mixed voices, ages 7 to 17. Their selections range from classical to jazz, contemporary songs, and Broadway show tunes. Concessions will be provided by Main Essentials.

There are many ways to do so--we need ushers, street fair volunteers, interns, phone bankers, etc. To find out more email Stephanie at shausner@riverspace.org.
