About Riverspace Arts in Nyack
Mission Statement
Riverspace Arts in Nyack, NY, is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a dynamic cultural center that is a vital part of the region. As a central principle of its mission Riverspace presents performance that enriches the community both artistically and educationally. Innovative programming in theater, dance, music, and film reflects the diverse cultures, styles, and influences in the area, and work is chosen both for its quality and its contribution to civic life in Nyack and the surrounding area. In keeping with this spirit the center acts as a resource for the local arts community, offering a range of educational programs and collaborating with schools and community organizations on special projects. In addition to the main theater, flexible, multi-use spaces such as the lobby/café provide more intimate entertainment spaces, lively community meeting places, and galleries for fine arts events.
