The Riverspace Downtown Project

Bringing Back Main Street, Revitalizing Rockland

Riverspace is a non-profit cultural center to be supported by a green economic development, bringing outstanding arts, entertainment, education and jobs to the Lower Hudson Valley. With our initial funding structure at an end, Riverspace needs an inventive plan to secure its success over the long term. The Downtown Project aims to:

• transform and revitalize Nyack’s town center with a beautiful development and arts complex; and
• secure the long-term future of the arts center by using the profits from the development to give it a strong financial foundation

The Plans in a Nutshell:

• A beautiful Performing Arts Center
• A friendly, airy town square
• Buildings in the style and scale of our town with a restored street grid, ground floor shops, apartments and arts-related commercial use
• Expanded parking above and below ground
